It was only a few months ago that we announced Lara Stone had trumped Sasha Pivovarova as the face of Giorgio Armani cosmetics. But the beauty industry is a fickle one and now Megan Fox is the latest replacement.

Newlywed Megan may have stepped down from the Transformers role that made her famous, but she’s ramping up her modelling instead. The actress has been a firm favourite of Mr Armani’s for a while now; she ousted Victoria Beckham from the Emporio Armani lingerie campaign earlier this year. VB had been the face, alongside husband David, since 1998. And at the same time as snaring the lucrative lingerie campaign, Fox was also picked to be the face of Armani Jeans.

“Mr Armani is an iconic visionary for all things fashion,” Fox said. “I’m honoured to be associated with him”. So honoured in fact, she is happy to take her job home with her; she chose an Armani Prive strapless dress for her June wedding in Hawaii to Brian Austin Green.

According to a spokeswoman for the designer, Armani chose the actress for the beauty campaign because “she embodies the spirit of the women of today: free, confident and seductive. Her beautiful features reveal femininity, sensuality and strength.”
