Megan Fox: ‘I was misquoted’ in Jalouse Magazine

Megan Fox swears that she does not pity “unattractive girls,” as she is quoted as saying in a French magazine.

The “Transformers” actress appears on the April cover of the Jalouse magazine and, in the cover story, says, “I cannot complain. I would not trade my place with an unattractive girl,” when asked about her stunning looks.

Fox, who is reported to be pregnant with her first child, took to Facebook this afternoon to try to cut criticism for the comment off at the pass.

“Before this starts to circulate and spin into something else I want to address a ‘quote’ that has started to run from an interview I did with a French magazine called Jalouse. The quote reads ‘i wouldn’t trade my place with an unattractive girl.’ Sigh,” wrote Fox. “The actual comment, the context and it’s intention are grossly distorted and misrepresented here.”

Fox explains that a language barrier led to her point being misconstrued.

“I gave this interview in English obviously, it was then translated to French and now back into English,” she said on Facebook. “I’ve never made vapid self serving comments and in contradiction am uncontrollably self deprecating.”

While it may have been misunderstood, it’s surprising that Fox made any comment of the sort. She recently told Miami magazine that “I was never the pretty girl,” and complained that she often felt ostracized because of her awkward appearance as a kid.
